One may face many challenges after moving abroad alone. For instance, you have to deal with loneliness, which means you may not find anyone to support you whenever you need it. However, if you manage to deal with it along with other possible problems, you may see how fascinating and character experience it really is. At some point in your life, you'll be glad to feel that you decided to move abroad alone. Here are some challenges that one might have to face after moving abroad alone:

Your personal life may be affected:

If you are in a relationship with someone, moving abroad will make it a long-distance relationship. Having a long-distance relationship is not fun at all. It can be hard for both partners. On the other hand, if you are planning to have a relationship after moving abroad, it will take time. It can even take longer as you may find linguistic and cultural barriers.

Loneliness:

Another challenging thing about moving abroad is loneliness. You may have to deal with your problems alone as building a relationship and friendships takes time. Even after having friends and maybe a partner, you may have to go through the toughest days by yourself as they would have their own lives and worries. Your friends or partner may not be able to help you out immediately which means you are on your own.

Difficulty in doing challenging work:

Moving abroad means you have to do all the work by yourself as no one might be there for you. For instance, if you want to lift heavy objects, you don't have any other choice than to do it yourself. You may hire movers who would move your things but even after that, tasks like decorating, shifting luggage, and unpacking boxes may be your tasks to do.

Now that you know some of the challenges, let's look at the advantages of moving abroad.

You can live freely:

Moving abroad gives you an opportunity to live your life the way you want. It is almost impossible if you are living with your parents or in a joint family system. But when you are abroad with no one to tell you what is right and what is wrong.

Out of the comfort zone:

Another good thing about moving abroad is that you get out of your comfort zone and welcome new experiences in your life. In this way, you will have to push yourself to get better and you learn to overcome challenging situations.

The best and the worst thing about living alone is that you are on your own. if you think about the positive side of it, that's amazing because you don't have to rely on others in order to do what you want to do. You can live a carefree lifestyle and do whatever you want.

But being in charge of your life is not always a good idea, especially if a person is not disciplined and committed to his goals. In such a case, you would end up spending all your quality time watching Netflix and chilling o partying with friends. Sometimes, it is good to have people around - be it parents or friends - who would push you to do better even when you don't feel like it. Hence, this is one of the cons of living alone.

One of the greatest pros of living abroad is that you make several friends, some of whom are going to be connected with you for the rest of your life. Meeting people with different cultures and traditions helps you learn new things like languages, foods, and many other things. You also learn some life hacks that were never taught in your culture. After all, what's better than showing off your cooking skills to your family and flaunting a new language? It makes you feel very cool due to which, your confidence will also be boosted.

Just like there is a wide range of benefits and perks that you enjoy while living abroad, it has some dark sides too. For instance, many people who leave their homes feel homesick. They don't want to be in a new environment and tend to miss their home, family, and friends. When you are out of your home, you are also out of your comfort zone. It means that the lifestyle you have had in your home is no longer there and things that you used to enjoy may not be available. Though it is a good thing to get out of your comfort zone in the long run, it will hurt your a lot in the short term, especially when you are not used to sacrificing your beloved items and things.
