I do intermittent fasting (6pm-7am) with no food?

I do intermittent fasting (6 pm-7 am) with no food and very regular gym activities, but the weight isn't going down. What would be the reason?

Intermittent fasting consists of alternating periods when the individual eats as usual and other times when he restricts or stops his food intake. This fast makes it possible to lose weight without counting very strictly the caloric composition of the meals, but on the condition of respecting a few rules. During intermittent fasting, there is a strong temptation to eat more during (allowed) periods and to reduce physical activity, which has an influence on weight loss.

If your daily caloric total is reduced because you skip a meal thanks to fasting, then your body will take some of the missing energy from your reserves (especially if it is coupled with a natural diet).

If, on the other hand, you fast for 16 hours and you eat as many calories as your body needs over the 2-3 meals you have left, then fasting is of no use to you.

The intermittent youngster doesn't matter. Regardless of regular physical activities.

The question is not there, but what you put on your plate.

If the weight does not decrease, then:

Maybe you're not reducing your calorie intake enough?

Maybe you underestimate the energy intake of food (download my fitness pal in this case)

Are you giving your body the necessary macro needs? Do you not give too much carbohydrate (pasta…)?

What about hydration? Do you drink enough water every day?

Maybe you eat industrial dishes? (full of sugars → which increase insulin → which stores sugar and turns it into fat)

Do you take desserts? Is it gluttony?

Do you drink soda? Or fruit juice (Innocent style)?

Hello, without being an expert, I do not call this intermittent fasting. Ketosis only really starts after 14 hours of fasting. So with my wife, we chose 8 p.m. to 2 p.m., i.e. 4 p.m. of fasting. We only drink water during this time. We no longer have sodas, eat vegetables and legumes with little starch, lean meats, and eggs. Hot drinks without sugar and without sweeteners. 1 hour of cycling every day, and we walk to get around the city. We no longer take the elevator (live on the 4th floor) except for heavy shopping. She lost 15 kg and I 10, in less than a year. (She is 43, I am 56).

There are difficult stages, for me Essentially. My fat is older, and I'm an endomorph, not her.

Could be the foods you are eating while not fasting…are you eating a lot of refined sugars, processed grain (white breads, oats, high carb meals) or healthy fats with some protein and greens? How about stress? Don’t stress the weight gain daily, it makes things worse in my opinion. The mind is very powerful!

There could be several reasons why intermittent fasting isn't working out for you. But let me begin by saying that as far as the diet plan is concerned, there is nothing wrong with it. You are just going to make a few necessary changes.

First and foremost, Drinking water is the key factor that keeps your energy levels high when you're fasting. If you do not drink enough water, you may not be able to keep up with the diet plan.

In addition to this, in order for intermittent fasting to do its magic, it's necessary that you eat healthy as well.

Weight loss is a very simple of calories in, calories out. Most people over complicate it when the answer is simple. If the objective is to loose weight you need to either increase calories burned through exercise, decrease calories consumed, or a combination of both. There is no “miracle cure”, it takes hard work and dedication.
