Keep them as whole berries. Whole strawberries will resist spoilage longer than cut-up strawberry pieces. Keep the whole basket just like you found them at the grocery store or farmers’ market, and leave their green-leaf tops intact.

Line a plastic or glass container with paper towels. These paper towels will absorb moisture and keep your berries from getting moldy

Place the strawberries in a single layer inside the container. If you can fit all of your strawberries into one container, that makes things easy. If you need multiple containers to preserve that single layer, don't hesitate to use more than one. Of course, you can stack strawberries on top of one another (just like they're found in their original container), but this enables mold to spread rapidly from berry to berry. Consider layering a paper towel between layers to minimize moisture and contact.p.t.

They should be kept entire....When stored properly in the refrigerator using one of the below methods, strawberries should stay fresh for up to one week. Always examine your berries for mold and other signs of spoilage before eating them.

Place in air-tight glassware: Transfer unwashed strawberries into a glass food storage container or mason jar and make sure it's sealed tight.

Paper towel method: Place a clean, dry paper towel in a container and put unwashed strawberries on top. Close the lid and place the container in the refrigerator.

This varies a lot according to the production methods, because today all the pineapples sold in supermarkets have undergone a number of treatments to meet consumer demand.  But as the consumer tends to buy those with a rather yellow color, believing that they are more ripe, the producers apply discoloration treatments to make the pineapples yellow and thus sell more of them. Then, pineapple is a product that travels very well, so it can easily cross oceans before ending up on your plate. And it supports very well ethylene (ripening hormone, produced naturally by fruits) like many exotic fruits. As a result, your pineapple is picked early and then sent to the major consumer countries by cargo ship, and it is the latter who will be responsible for ripening the pineapples according to market demand. But ultimately, a retail pineapple will only need a few days to mature, as it will have been artificially ripened.

Do not wash strawberries until you are ready to eat them. As soon as you wash the strawberries, they are exposed to moisture and the moisture of the fresh berries becomes moldy. Cool unwashed strawberries and wash only just before consumption. Store as a whole berry. Whole strawberries  resist rotting longer than sliced strawberries. Keep the green leaves and store the entire basket  you find at  grocery stores and farmers markets.
Place a paper towel in a plastic or glass container. These paper towels  absorb moisture and prevent the berries from becoming moldy.
Place strawberries in a one-layer container. You can pack all the strawberries in  one container, which makes things easier. If you need multiple containers to get that single layer, don't hesitate to use multiple containers. Of course, you can stack strawberries (as they were in the original container), but doing so allows you to quickly spread the mold  from berry to berry. Consider placing paper towels between the layers to minimize moisture and contact.
Tightly seal the container and place it in the refrigerator. Dry and airtight strawberries should last for at least 7 days in the refrigerator. However, to get a fresh taste, eat early. Does the   vinegar bath keep strawberries fresh? Some home cooks believe that strawberries are best preserved when first soaked in a mixture containing 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Then sift the berries  to remove  vinegar residues and odors. Other chefs claim that this method is effective in preventing mold, but it makes the berries wilt and has a slightly dull taste. Experiment during the strawberry season to see if you like this method.
