Dual nature can be inferred to be something that possesses two separate identities or can be classified along with other than one property. The dual nature of matter is a notion according to de Broglie who claims that when the matter is in motion it possesses and emits the nature of that of a wave such as diffraction however when it is halted, it contains the particle properties such as density, hardness, and absorption, resulting in dual characteristics, hence, known as the dual nature of matter. Containing properties of two different variants make it unique as everything around us is made of matter. It can either be a solid state, a liquid, or a gaseous state.
