Sorry for my undeducated answer - but from what I understand we (humans) derive all our power - except batteries and burning coal or natural gas but even those two would have to be powering a generator - from spinning a turbine to generate a static charge by rotating a loop of copper wire around a magnet and then ifs converted into current.
