It is fashionable to say that anyone can be successful in life.

It's more realistic to say that certain types of people are more likely to get away with it than others.

American author and entrepreneur Stephanie Synclair described in her book " Shut Up and Do the Work " 5 types of people who are unlikely to be successful in life.

This is very cartoonish. This does not completely represent reality, because sometimes we are in several boxes at the same time.

However I find that this can give indications to avoid falling into certain pitfalls.

1. The dreamer

According to S. Synclair, the dreamer is the person who often talks about big projects without ever taking action.

This is the person who always talks about wanting to go around the world, but who has always worked in the same place for 5 years without the slightest sign of progress.

If you don't take action and achieve your goals, you are unlikely to really get ahead in life.

2. The prowler

According to S. Synclair, "The ranger sits down and observes what others are doing."

These are the people who comment instead of taking action.

You will never be completely ready.

If you wait for the right time, you might miss your chance.

Rome was not built in a day.

Don't be afraid to take small steps towards your goal.

It is by doing a little every day that we achieve ambitious projects.

3. The hater

According to S. Synclair, this is the person who feels anger when seeing others succeed.

This is the person with the negativity virus.

In general, we recognize her quite easily because she spends her time criticizing everything.

Escape the bias of negativity.

4. The pessimist

According to Synclair, "For the pessimist, it is better not to have tried than to try and fail."

These types of people spend their time finding reasons not to act.

The fear of failure can be crippling.

Ask yourself: What's the worst that can happen?

Often it's not as scary as you might imagine.

5. The judge

According to S. Synclair, the judge is the person who is permanently in the judgment.

This type of attitude is disabling because it prevents you from fully assuming yourself.

The judge constantly acts in fear of what others will think.

Learn to detach yourself from judgment so that you can achieve your full potential.

All the people who involuntarily forbid themselves to succeed because they are not ready to pay the price of fame.

They refuse to suffer to succeed. They perceive work, personal training, and self-discipline as forms of suffering which they cannot inflict.

Those who refuse to take full responsibility for their respective lives.

Those who fabricate millions of excuses to justify their situations.

All those who fall asleep again to peacefully continue their dream rather than waking up to make them come true.

We are doomed to fail when personal effort becomes synonymous with discomfort and suffering for us.

There is an elder from my school that I know personally, let his name be Amit.

Her father owned a very small shop on the outskirts of my town and her mother was a housewife.

The whole family, therefore, relied on his father because he was the only source of income. He came from a lower-middle-class family.

When the 10th CBSE results came out, the whole school was stunned by its highly anticipated performance. He dominated the entire district with a whopping 97%.

Everyone expected him to visit Kota because he had the potential to wipe out IIT (no jee adv was there at the time).

But due to his financial situation, he stayed in our small town and once again amazed us with his ecstatic performance in class 12, as he scored 95% with 100 in chemistry.

Thanks to BCECE, it ended up at the Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, for those who don't know, it is a level 3 government college in Bihar whose condition is pathetic.

A boy who was able to clean the IIT ended up in a grade 3 middle school, which was devastating for him, people advised him not to do it, but the money created the limits. Still, he decided to pursue his interest and prepare for CAT.

He worked hard and his hard work paid off when he got a call from IIM Indore and even got a job at E.Railway which was nothing short of a dream for him.

Her father died in an accident. The world almost stopped for him. Again, money created the lines between him and his dream institute, because the only family member who wins is no longer. He had no choice but to become a railway engineer to support his family.

He abandoned the idea of studying at IIM and went ahead to join as a government engineer.

Years passed and he got married and was lucky to have a baby girl.

This time he nailed it again. He passed the toughest exam in the UPSC engineering department and this time even money didn't have the power to stop him.

Now he works as a Class A officer and leads a peaceful life.

Now coming to the question, what kind of people are never successful in life?

People Who Are Stuck In Their Past - This man had a dark past but that didn't stop him from hanging on to his dream of someday being successful.

People Who Play Blame Games - Never in my life have I seen this man blame the money or his luck for his situation, instead, he drew all the confidence out of it and kicked it off. thumbs up to his career.

People who think it's too late - When he took this exam he was married and had a 1-year-old daughter. Yet he remained focused on his goal and even fulfilled his responsibilities as a father.

I think the answer to this question can be quite subjective. All of us might have different definitions of being successful or well achieved in our lives and if we don't achieve that, we don't deem ourselves worthy of any sort of appreciation.

To me, being successful is simply reaching the goals that I set for myself, no matter how small or insignificant they are. If my goal was to my beat my depression and take a shower, I am successful if I succeed at doing that.

Having put that out there, I think the people who are unsuccessful in life are the ones who think that they are unsuccessful and can not achieve whatever goal they have set for themselves. Our mindset and what we say to ourselves matters A LOT (far more than we think). People have done the impossible simply after finding the determination to strive towards it and convincing themselves that they could. Had the last part been missing, no one would have walked the moon either.

I've noticed this factor in my personal life as well. When I set out to do something that I know I will succeed at, it doesn't take me many hurdles but if I convince myself that the task at hand is the most arduous and industrious task ever, I have already failed.

Unsuccesful is an umbrella term and one that is mistaken all too often. What you consider unsuccesful may be the definition of success for the other person and while that is completely okay, you can't objectively decide who is unsuccesful or what sort of people fall in such a category.
In my perspective, fame or money has nothing to do with success, sure it helps you live fancy and everything but does it help you suffice the battle that is ongoing inside you. Does it make you feel succesful and happy? most probably not! So, true success is to become self aware and be emotionally intelligent. It does not mean you will never again experience a mishap in life, but it sure means you will know how to deal with one and that is what matters.
